Gleink Greenhouse

Group Work, 2018-2019

An arched greenhouse was designed and built with an effort of students of the University of Art and Design Linz, migrants and the local garden community. This project emphasizes the efficient and environmentally conscious use of building materials. Many of the materials were salvaged from the University of Art and Design Linz prior to significant renovations in 2017. Reclaimed glass, wood panels, and plastic multi-wall sheets were repurposed for the project. Additional materials were sourced from the local recycling center. The excavated earth was utilized to construct a rammed earth wall inside the greenhouse.
