ABOUT GREEK PRIMARY SCHOOL OF IMROZ

The Greek Primary School of Imroz (initial name  Aya Todori İlk Mektebi) was built in 1866 in Zeytinlikoy, Imroz. It had been closed in 1975. For 50 years, the school stayed as a wreck.

Due to the developments on the beautiful island, Imroz, the school got renovated and opened its doors again in 2013.

Branding of Greek Imroz Primary School of Imroz is a voluntary project  carried out with the Imroz Education and Culture Association.

DESIGN PROCESS

The design process has started with rebranding the logo. After several color and figure proposals, it was decided to embody the color green which reflects the identity of the island, and to keep the owl figure similar as in the ancient Greek coin. (The rebranding process is explained in the steps below.)

After deciding on the logo, the brochure for the 10th anniversary of the school is created and printed.

As the final step, the school stationery supplies are proposed.

ABOUT MERHABA DAY LOGO CONTEST

Bodrum Maritime Museum wants to express the word "merhaba" (hello) based on the vision of The Fisherman of Halicarnassus, Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, and to embody it in graphic language. They aim to use the word "merhaba" as a logo to represent the activities held in honor of his birthday anniversary every year.

DESIGN PROCESS

Bodrum is the place that showed Cevat Şakir the simple but magnificent truth of life. Thanks to this truth, Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı adopted the name Halicarnassus as his pseudonym, which is the ancient name of Bodrum, and continued to produce valuable works by embarking on a magnificent journey towards his inner world.

The starting point of the logo design is freedom and peace. The process started with designing the dove that evokes these concepts. Following the design of the dove, the design was developed to integrate the wave and pen designs evoking the two important aspects of Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı's life, which are Bodrum and his writing. During this process, the integration of the word "Merhaba" with the logo was also taken into consideration.
Two logo suggestions also have been made for the positioning of the word Gün(day).
